Frontal sinus resection

Frontal sinus resection is one of the surgical treatments for chronic frontal sinusitis. Frontal sinus anterior wall resection note: 1. The incision should be on the inside of the supraorbital notch to avoid local numbness caused by the supraorbital nerve. 2. Do not involve nasal frontal sutures when removing anterior wall bone; if there is already dead bone or osteomyelitis, remove it until you see healthy bone. 3. Care should be taken to separate the orbital periosteum to avoid complications such as tearing of the orbital periosteum, damage to the lacrimal sac or the superior oblique muscle pulley.
