Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia
Chlamydia psittaci was an earlier pathogen compared to Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydia pneumoniae (at the end of the 17th century). At that time, parrot was considered the host of the pathogen and its disease was called psittacosis (parrotfever).
