Progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis

This disease is also called Schamberg's disease, a specific progressive pigmentary disease of the skin. The disease often occurs asymmetrically on the calf extension, and is a patch of different sizes and shapes composed of the point of the needle to the point of the needle. The cause is unknown. There are reports of familial morbidity. The clinical manifestations are clusters of light red petechiae or ecchymosis from the millet to the needle cap, which gradually increase into dense patches and become irregular orange or brown-red patches.
