Yolk sac tumor of ovary
Yolk sac tumor is the most common tumor in ovarian malignant germ cell tumor (OGCT). Yolk sac tumors are almost unilateral, slightly more common on the right side, and more commonly bilateral. Tumors are usually larger in size and more than 10 cm in diameter; they are round, oval, or lobulated, with a smooth surface and an envelope, which can sometimes adhere or infiltrate the surrounding tissue. The section is mainly solid, powder white or off-white, moist and soft, often accompanied by cystic sieve-like areas containing jelly-like substances, which are common in honeycomb, hemorrhage and necrosis.
