Chronic bronchitis

Chronic bronchitis is a chronic, non-specific inflammation of the trachea, bronchial mucosa, and surrounding tissues. The main symptoms are cough, sputum or asthma with recurrence, which lasts for 3 months each year for more than 2 years. Early symptoms are milder than winter onset and relieved in spring and summer. Symptoms can persist throughout the year due to exacerbation of inflammation in the later stages. Its pathological features are bronchial gland hyperplasia and increased mucosal secretion. The condition is slowly progressive, often obstructive emphysema, severe pulmonary hypertension, and even pulmonary heart disease.
