Purulent esophagitis

Pyogenic esophagitis is a purulent inflammation caused by pyogenic bacteria invading the esophageal mucosa when the esophageal mucosa is damaged. It is mostly secondary to esophageal mucosal damage caused by foreign bodies in the esophagus or by device inspection. Purulent esophagitis can be a localized disease, and most of them form one or more submucosal abscesses, which can be cured naturally after drainage to the esophageal cavity.
