Orbital fibrosarcoma
Fibrosarcoma is a mesenchymal tumor originating from fibroblasts, which can occur in the limbs, diaphragm, chest wall and other parts, and rarely occurs in the orbit. Orbital fibrosarcoma is a low-grade malignant tumor, which mostly occurs in fibrous tissues such as the periosteum above and inside the orbit, and it grows slowly. The course is long, the eyeballs are progressively protruded and accompanied by the characteristics of pain-based disease. Some cases can recur after surgery, but rarely metastasize. Orbital fibrosarcoma can occur as a primary orbital tumor in children and adults; it can also be a secondary tumor that invades from the nasal cavity or sinuses; or it can occur with radiotherapy for retinoblastoma.
