Allergic conjunctivitis

Allergic conjunctivitis is a hypersensitivity reaction of the conjunctiva to external allergens. It mainly includes type I allergy (humoral-mediated) and type IV allergy (cell-mediated), of which allergic conjunctivitis caused by type I allergy is the most common.
