Twin transfusion syndrome
Twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTs) is a serious complication in twin pregnancy. Untreated, the mortality rate is 70-100%. The perinatal mortality rate is extremely high. In the United States, for example, it is estimated that approximately 2,200 fetuses die from the disease each year.
