Endocardial elastic fibrosis
Endocardial fibroelastosis (EFE), also known as endocardial sclerosis, is a more common form of pediatric primary cardiomyopathy, also known as primary endocardial fibroelastosis. Its cause is unknown. Congenital heart disease such as aortic constriction, aortic valve stenosis, aortic valve occlusion, etc., complicated by endocardial elastic fibrous hyperplasia, is called secondary endocardial elastic fibroproliferative disease.
