Viral esophagitis
The pathogenic microorganism of viral esophagitis is herpes virus, so it is also called herpetic esophagitis. At present, it is believed that there are mainly herpes simplex virus (HSV) I and II (HSV-I, HSV-Ⅱ), chickenpox-zoster virus (HZV), cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) can cause human herpes esophagitis.
