Morton 跖 headache
Morton headache, also known as Morton disease, refers to the clinical symptoms and signs caused by the compression of the common toe nerve between the two metatarsal heads. In 1845, Durfacher first described the clinical manifestations of total toe neuromuscular neuroma, but at that time it was not accepted. It wasn't until 1867 that Morton reported 15 cases and proposed the causes of this clinical manifestation and surgical treatment, which attracted people's attention. Therefore, the total toe neuroma was called Morton's headache. The disease occurs at the 3rd and 4th toe space at most, followed by the 2nd and 3rd toe space, other toe spaces are rare.
