Hereditary ataxia
Hereditary ataxia is a group of genetic degenerative diseases characterized by chronic progressive cerebellar ataxia; genetic background, ataxia manifestations and cerebellar damage, which are passed down from generation to generation, are the three characteristics . In addition to cerebellar and conductive fiber involvement, this group of diseases often involves the spinal cord posterior column, pyramidal tract, pontine nucleus, basal nucleus, cerebral nucleus, spinal ganglia and autonomic nervous system. Ataxia gait first appeared and gradually aggravated, eventually making the patient bedridden, the clinical symptoms were complicated, overlapping, and even the same family can show a high degree of heterogeneity.
