Snake bite
The cause of venom bites is the snake venom secreted in the venom gland, which is mainly composed of proteins, peptides and various enzymes. Snake venom can be divided into neurotoxin and blood toxin. The former has a damaging effect on the central, peripheral nerves, and neuromuscular conduction functions, and can cause convulsions, paralysis and respiratory palsy; the latter causes damage to the cardiovascular and blood systems, causing arrhythmias, circulatory failure, hemolysis and bleeding. It is mainly found in rural and mountainous areas in southern China.
