Pinta

Pinta is a chronic skin infection caused by Treponema pallidum and is one of three nonvenereal treponematosis. It is clinically characterized by skin squamous pimples, variable pigmentation, and hyperkeratosis. It was endemic, almost all of which started in childhood, and children and adolescents were more frequent. This disease is not found in China, and penicillin treatment is effective.
