Pediatric inguinal hernia
Indirect inguinal hernia in children is mostly caused by the failure of peritoneal sheath to occlude during the testicular decline of the embryonic stage, which can occur in the neonatal period and is a congenital disease. It is more common in males, 2 to 3 times more in the right side than in the left side, and rare in both sides. It is one of the common diseases in pediatric surgery.
