Malignant pleural effusion

Tumorous pleural effusion is also called malignant pleural effusion. In most cases, malignant cells can be found in the pleural effusion. If the pleural effusion is accompanied by metastatic nodules on the surface of the pleura or the pleura, no matter whether malignant cells can be found in the pleural effusion, the malignant pleural effusion can be diagnosed.
