Tourette Syndrome
Tourette syndrome (Tourettes syndrome; TS) or chronic multiple tic. Itard (1825) first reported that the French neurologist Georges Gilles de La Tourette was first described in detail in 1885 and later named after him. This disease is a group of extrapyramidal diseases that occur in adolescence and are characterized by sudden involuntary multiple twitches of muscles in various parts of the head, limbs, and trunk, accompanied by explosive larynx or curse words. Typical manifestations are multiple tics, involuntary vocalizations, speech and behavior disorders; may be accompanied by obsessive-compulsive ideas, personality disorders, and ADHD.
