Ulcerative colitis
Ulcerative colitis (UC), referred to as ulceration, has not been fully elucidated. It is mainly a chronic non-specific inflammatory disease that invades the colonic mucosa. It usually starts in the left hemicolon and can reach the proximal colon or even the entire colon. Progress gradually in a continuous manner. Clinical symptoms vary in severity, and there may be remissions and seizures. Patients may have colonic symptoms or systemic symptoms.
