Pituitary stroke
The meaning of the word pituitary apoplexy in the literature is rather confusing. Some scholars believe that as long as there is infarction or hemorrhagic necrosis in the pituitary, whether it is clinically symptomatic or not, it should be classified as pituitary stroke. Other scholars advocate that acute infarction or hemorrhagic necrosis occurs only on the basis of pituitary adenoma, and pituitary gland produces Hypofunction with headache and neuro-ophthalmic symptoms can be called pituitary stroke.
