Cavernous portal vein
Cavernous transformation of the portal vein (CTPV) refers to chronic partial or complete obstruction of the portal hepatic or intrahepatic portal vein, resulting in obstruction of portal blood flow and increased portal pressure. To reduce portal hypertension, A collateral circulation or obstruction is formed around the portal vein.
