Acute sinusitis
Acute purulent sinusitis is an acute purulent inflammation of the sinus mucosa, which can involve bone in severe cases. The maxillary sinusitis is the most common due to the larger sinus cavity, lower sinus floor, and higher sinus ostium, which is easy to accumulate below the sinuses, and easily infected by inflammation elsewhere. Among them, frontal sinusitis is the second, and sphenoid sinusitis is the least.
