Neonatal asphyxia

Asphyxia of the newborn refers to the respiratory and circulation disorders caused by intrauterine distress due to hypoxia of the fetus due to various causes of prenatal, postpartum or postpartum hypoxia. Diseases without spontaneous breathing or regular breathing, with hypoxemia, hypercapnia, and acidosis as the main pathophysiological changes. It is the most common symptom of newborns, mostly a continuation of fetal asphyxia (intrauterine distress) and one of the main causes of disability and death.
