Tuberculous pleurisy
Pulmonary inflammation caused by pulmonary tuberculosis inflammation involving the pleura is called tuberculous pleurisy. In some cases, pleurisy is caused by a bloodstream infection, and some are related to the body's allergies. There is often a small to medium amount of effusion. Due to the higher protein in tuberculous pleurisy, the pleural adhesions and hypertrophy are easily caused.
