Chronic cough
Chronic cough usually refers to a cough that lasts more than 3 weeks. Some scholars think that cough can be called chronic cough only after 8 weeks. The six major causes of chronic cough are: postnasal drip syndrome, cough variant asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, eosinophilic bronchitis, chronic laryngitis, and psychogenic cough.
