Hip flexion and external rotation deformity

Most patients with femoral neck fractures have mild hip flexion and external rotation deformities. Femoral neck fractures often occur in the elderly, and with increasing life expectancy, the incidence of femoral neck fractures is increasing, with 50-70 years being the most common.
