The pontine is above the medulla. It is the only way to pass information between the central and peripheral nerves. It has a regulating and controlling effect on human sleep. Cerebral hemorrhage accounts for about 10% of intracerebral hemorrhage, mostly caused by rupture of the pons of the basilar artery.
