Elbow ossifying myositis

Traumatic ossifying myositis is a relatively common secondary injury to the elbow. The most common causes are elbow fractures, dislocations, and damage to the joint capsule, tendons, and ligaments. The hematoma of the joint site is mechanically and artificially and passively pulled after the injury. Traumatic exudation repeatedly occurs, resulting in subperiosteal ossification.
