Hypercoagulable state

A small number of patients with nephrotic syndrome will experience symptoms of swelling and pain in a certain lower limb during the course of the disease. Examination revealed deep vein thrombosis, which is the cause of the pain and swelling of the limb. Why does thrombosis occur? This is closely related to the hypercoagulable state of nephrotic syndrome.
