Dry sound
Dryness sounds are caused by narrow or incomplete obstruction of the trachea, bronchi, or bronchioles, resulting from turbulence when the air is inhaled or exhaled. Its pathological basis includes mucosal congestion and edema caused by inflammation, increased secretion of bronchial smooth muscles; intraluminal foreign bodies, tumor obstruction, and enlarged lymphatic or mediastinal compression of the airway.
