Lifting pulse

The lift-like pulsation refers to a slow, strong pulsation of the heart, which can lift the tip of the finger and continue until the start of the second heart sound. At the same time, the apical pulse range also increases, which is a sign of left ventricular hypertrophy. Lift-like pulsations in the systole of the lower left margin of the sternum are a reliable indicator of right ventricular hypertrophy.
