Tibial plateau fracture reduction and internal fixation
Tibial plateau fractures often have a large fracture piece separated from the tibial plateau and have varying degrees of displacement. If improperly treated, it often causes knee instability and varus. In general, most tibial plateau fractures can be reduced manually or by prying, and then fixed with tubular plaster. If the reset fails, an open reset must be performed.
