Perineal laceration repair
Perineal lacerations, or complete perineal lacerations, include vaginal opening lacerations, perineal lacerations, and lacerations of the anal sphincter. In severe cases, the rupture can extend to the rectal wall, causing stool and gas incontinence. Surgery is needed for treatment.
