Jaw ameloblastoma
Ameloblastoma is the most common odontogenic epithelial tumor of the jaw, accounting for about 80% of these tumors. Ameloblastoma is a benign but locally invasive pleomorphic tumor, and its tissue sources include enamel maker or dental plate epithelium, epithelial lining of dental cysts, and oral mucosal epithelium basal layer. According to the common classification of the World Health Organization and China, ameloblastoma can be generally divided into five types, namely: follicular type, plexiform type, granular cell type, squamous metaplasia type and basal cell type.
