Pancreatic cancer in the elderly
Pancreatic carcinoma mainly refers to exocrine pancreatic adenocarcinoma, which is the most common type of pancreatic malignant tumors, accounting for about 1% to 4% of various cancers in the body, and 8% to 10% of digestive tract cancer . Usually when it comes to pancreatic cancer, it also deals with periampullary cancer. The former is the pancreas itself, while the latter includes cancers at the lower end of the common bile duct, ampulla, duodenal papilla, and pancreatic head. Pancreatic cancer has the highest malignancy. The number of pancreatic cancer is the largest, accounting for about 3/5; and because of whether it is pancreatic cancer or periampullary cancer, the clinical symptoms, signs, diagnostic methods, and treatment methods are generally similar.
