Hyperlipidemia in the elderly
Hyperlipidemia means that the content of one or more components in plasma lipids exceeds the normal high limit. Its main components are triacylglycerol (TG), cholesterol ester (CE), phospholipid (PL), and free fatty acid (FFA). CE and TG are affected by age, gender, lifestyle, and eating quality.
