Cilia structure defect
Mostly occurs in immobilized ciliated syndrome. When immobile ciliated syndrome occurs, structural abnormalities of the cilia, such as missing power arms, defective spokes, and abnormal arrangement of microtubules, can cause paralysis of the airways cilia, impaired cilia mucus transmission, and cause systemic failure. No cilia can move, which causes chronic recurrent purulent pulmonary inflammation, sinusitis, otitis media, and male infertility.
