Renal palpation

Kidney test is an auxiliary test method to check whether the abdominal kidneys are normal. The kidneys are checked by palpation with both hands. Can be supine or standing. When palpating the right kidney in the supine position, the patient was instructed to flex his legs and take a deep breath. The physician stands on the patient's right side, holding her right waist with her left palm from behind. The right palm is placed flat on the right waist, and the ulnar side of the finger is approximately parallel to the right costal margin to the right upper abdomen for deep palpation. When the patient is inhaling, touch the kidney with both hands.
