The abscissa of an audiogram represents the frequency (Hz) of the sound, commonly known as the tone. The ordinate indicates the intensity of the sound. The audiogram is expressed in decibels (dB). The audiogram is the most direct basis for hearing aid fitting and understanding of hearing status. Understanding the audiogram can help us understand the situation of hearing loss.
