In-hospital acquired pneumonia

Hospital acquired pneumonia (HAP), also known as nosocomial pneumonia (NP), refers to non-existent or incubation period at the time of admission. It occurs in the hospital 48 hours after admission. Pulmonary parenchymal inflammation caused by mycoplasma, virus, or protozoa also includes pneumonia that develops after being discharged from an infection during hospitalization. It often occurs in elderly, frail, chronically and critically ill patients with poor general conditions and various basic diseases, as well as patients who have been using glucocorticoids or other immunosuppressants for a long time.
