The neutrophil nuclear drumstick body is a spherical or oval protrusion on the cell. The examination method is to take peripheral blood as a smear, fix with methanol solution, stain Giemsa, and observe under oil microscope. Generally, the frequency of nuclear drumsticks for multinucleated leukocytes in women is 2% to 3%, while that in men is almost absent.
