Congenital muscle deficiency

Congenital absence of muscles is relatively rare clinically, due to abnormal development of the fetus itself, or due to mechanical obstruction in the uterus. Often manifested as a partial or complete absence of a single muscle, but also as a group of muscles. If the absent muscle cannot be compensated by other normal muscles, deformities may occur.
