Pediatric malnutrition edema
Malnutritional edema, also known as hypoproteinemia, is a special manifestation of nutritional deficiencies. Due to long-term negative nitrogen balance, plasma proteins are reduced, colloid osmotic pressure is reduced, and malnutrition diseases characterized by systemic edema occur. Protein deficiency syndrome is also known as malignant malnutrition syndrome or kwashiorkor. The latter is a local transliteration in Africa, which means ldquo; red child rdquo; means that the mother no longer feeds the baby after weaning, resulting in a serious lack of protein in the food, especially the lack of essential amino acids. It has improved, but it can never reach the value of a normal child with good nutrition.
