Pediatric yaws
Yaws disease (yaws, pian, framboesia) is a non-venereal sexually transmitted infection caused by Treponema pertenue. The patients are almost all children. The main clinical manifestations are painful skin papules, ulcers, scabs, and to some extent Systemic symptoms, etc. Yaws is a chronic infection that mainly affects the skin, bones, and cartilage; the pathogenic microorganism is a bacterium called Treponema pallidum, which is a subspecies of Treponema pallidum that causes venereal syphilis. Yaws is transmitted mainly through direct skin contact with the infected person;
