Congenital bladder neck contracture
The bladder neck refers to a section of a tubular structure that extends from the inner urethral opening to the urethra by 1 to 2 cm. Bladder neck obstruction refers to obstruction symptoms such as difficulty in urination due to narrowing or restricted opening of the bladder neck opening due to mechanical or functional reasons. It can be divided into two types: primary and secondary. Primary bladder neck obstruction is caused by changes in the function of the bladder neck, not structural changes. That is, the bladder neck not only fails to open during urination, but actively contracts. May be related to dysfunction of the sympathetic nerve, secondary bladder neck obstruction is due to bladder neck contracture or stenosis due to a secondary disease of the bladder neck. Commonly occur after bladder prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, fibrosis of the bladder neck, inflammation of tuberculosis of the bladder neck and so on.
