Pediatric Ewing sarcoma
At present, most scholars believe that Ewings sarcoma includes Ewing's tumor of the bone (formerly known as Ewing's sarcoma), Ewing's tumor outside the bone, namely neuroectodermal tumor (neuroepithelial cell tumor) and Askin tumor (small malignant chest and lung Cell tumor). Immunohistochemical labeling, cell generation, and tissue culture studies have shown that all three types of tumors originate from primordial stem cells and rank second in children with primary malignant bone tumors. The prevalent age is 10 to 15 years. Children under 5 years of age are often diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Boys are more common than girls. The most common sites are the sacrum, femur, humerus, fibula, and tibia. Invasion of long tubular bones often occurs in the backbone. Occurred in ribs, scapula, clavicle and vertebrae are rare.
