Pediatric lymphoid polyps
Lymphoid polyps is a benign, self-limiting disease. In fact, it is not a polyp but a localized protrusion of the colonic mucosa. Due to the proliferation of submucosal lymphoid tissue, it may be a non-specific response to the infection, and the aggregated lymph nodes in the terminal ileal mucosa increase.
