Hypersecretory glaucoma
Hypersecretion glaucoma is a rare special type of open-angle glaucoma, which is characterized by elevated intraocular pressure but normal coefficient of aqueous humor. Tonometry, perfusion method and tissue section examination showed that he had no obstruction of aqueous humor. The mechanism of increased intraocular pressure is due to the increase in aqueous humor production. Although the aqueous humor drainage function is normal, the excessively generated aqueous humor cannot be fully discharged out of the eye, resulting in increased intraocular pressure and optic nerve damage. It is generally believed that the intermittent excessive production of aqueous humor is related to vascular and nerve dysfunction, and patients are often accompanied by hypertension. Its incidence is low, accounting for about 2% of the total number of glaucoma.
