Abdominal stroke syndrome

Abdominal Apoplexy Syndrome refers to acute abdomen and shock syndrome caused by spontaneous rupture of blood vessels in the abdominal cavity. Also called spontaneous massive intra-abdominal hemorrhage, intra-abdominal stroke syndrome, mesenteric or subperitoneal hemorrhage syndrome. More common in male patients with arteriosclerosis and hypertension.
