Crohn's disease in children
Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory granulomatous disease of the gastrointestinal tract that is more common in young people, with fibrosis and mucosal ulcers. Its lesions can affect the entire digestive tract, from the oral cavity to the anus, but mainly invade the ileum and jejunum, followed by the colon, and form migration lesions outside the gastrointestinal tract.
